Fields of Belonging – Interpreting Jewish Literatures – Workshop
Keynote Speaker: Hélène Cixous
The Hebrew University, Mount Scopus, and Mishkenot Sha’ananim
Jerusalem, May 5-7, 2015
Belongings are epistemic and affective cultures of place that involve relations of property as well as of attachment. Writing / Reading Place will interrogate the possibilities and problematics of belongings as a key to the study of modern and contemporary Jewish literatures. What are belongings made of, in and across Jewish literatures, and how can they inform or challenge Jewish literary thinking today?
Attendance by invitation.
